We are located in Nimes in south of France, where we design, assemble and test our systems.
SYMETRIE designs and manufactures precision positioning & motion systems that meet the most specific needs of industrialists and research laboratories.
SYMETRIE is a specialist of the hexapod, which is used to position an object in space following the 6 degrees of freedom with high accuracy, resolution and stiffness.
SYMETRIE has a significant experience in large scale technological projects (Laser MegaJoule, JWST and GAIA space telescopes).
SYMETRIE is also an expert in dimensional metrology. Its team of engineers and metrologists realizes on site measurements using laser tracker or laser interferometer to make 3D inspections or machine tools calibrations.
SYMETRIE won the 1st prize of French metrology in 2007.
BORA hexapod with rack and PC for positioning applications (space, synchrotrons...)
SIRIUS hexapod: qualifacation of performances for space applications
MISTRAL hexapod: payload 1 ton - acceleration 1g
Motion simulation (swell, vehicle...)
NanoPos hexapod : Instrumentation, Optics and Tests laboratories
SYMETRIE launched NOTUS, a dynamic and compact hexapod for motion simulation.
Compact and dynamic
NOTUS is a dynamic hexapod, which enables to generate motions following the 6 degrees of freedom with a speed of 500 mm/s. Thanks to its optimized design, this compact hexapod is only 1 meter tall. NOTUS hexapod has been designed to test and qualify medium weight payloads (up to 200 kg), which will then be installed on aircrafts, boats or land vehicles. Due to its size and its capacity, NOTUS hexapod is very suitable to test components in laboratories.
An ergonomic and intuitive software
The control of the hexapod is facilitated by control software developed by SYMETRIE control. It allows to play files from registration or generate trajectories.
SYMETRIE has launched NanoPos, a nanometer resolution positioning hexapod developed for the most demanding applications, such as optics or nanotechnologies.
Outstanding resolution and compact size
NanoPos hexapod comes with outstanding characteristics for its small size thanks to the integration of extremely compact piezo stages, high quality joints and low friction mechanical parts. Its closed loop control with linear optical encoders enables it to reach the highest precision performances.
An ergonomic and intuitive control
The hexapod comes with its controller and an ergonomic software program developed by SYMETRIE, which enables to quickly learn how to use it and to easily configure the rotation centre.
